Does all back pain mean surgery?

This question. It worries everyone. You may not say it, but it's crossed your mind. It's not something you even want to speak aloud.

As soon as back pain hits we naturally as humans think of who we know that had back surgery. You've done that, right?

Take a deep breath.

Take another.

You will be relieved to know that over 80% of people have back pain at some point in their life.

Back pain is common.

Back surgery is seen as a last option. It typically is not needed. Over 80% of the cases who see physical therapy for backaches return to living life without limitations.

What exact treatments are used varies based on symptoms and severity. Think of a toolbox. If you are going to hang a picture on a wall, there are many ways you can do it. You can use a picture hook, nail or screw. You can measure first, find a stud and take action. Or you can guess and hang it and end up with more holes til you get it right.

That is similar to if you try and fix your lower backache alone vs following a proven way to get the best outcome, faster. Working with a game plan and treatment from a physical therapist will help you skip the need for surgery and get you back to living life.
